Custody-account transfer
Transfer of securities and acquisition data from one bank to another.
A custody-account transfer can simplify costs, trading access or administration. Acquisition data, fractions, open orders and deadlines matter. If cost-basis data are missing, tax treatment can become temporarily inconvenient, so investors should retain documents and check the first statement after transfer.
