My Accounts, Banks, and Tools

My 2026 Financial Setup: These are the banks, brokers, cards, and tools I use for wealth building, liquidity, crypto, dividends, and day-to-day financial management.

My Accounts, Banks, and Tools

Anyone who regularly deals with finances, investments, crypto, and payments quickly realizes that no single account or app can do it all. Over time, I’ve therefore developed a system where every bank, every brokerage account, and every tool handles a specific task. I use some apps for day-to-day management, others for my overall financial overview, and still others for taxes, dividends, or liquidity management.

One thing is particularly important here: the big picture. I want to quickly see where my money is, how my portfolio is performing, what cash flows are coming up, and which tools are taking work off my hands. That’s exactly why I don’t rely on a single solution, but rather on a combination of bank accounts, brokerage accounts, cards, tracking tools, and software.

In this article, I’ll introduce my current financial setup. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all recommendation for everyone, but an honest look at the providers and programs I personally use for my day-to-day financial management.

bunq as an everyday account

I mainly use bunq as a modern everyday bank when it comes to flexibility, clarity, and fast digital banking. Especially if you want to manage multiple financial accounts at the same time, it’s extremely convenient to keep payments and budgets neatly separate without having to struggle through outdated banking interfaces.

What I particularly appreciate about bunq is its mobile-first approach. Many tasks that take an unnecessarily long time at traditional banks can be handled directly in the app here. For daily transactions, spontaneous transfers, and a clear separation of different spending categories, this is a very convenient solution for me. The ability to split budgets across over 25 separate IBAN accounts is unbeatable!

Scalable Capital as my broker

For me, Scalable Capital is a key component when it comes to long-term wealth building. I primarily use the account for stocks, ETFs, and the structured development of my portfolio. The interface is user-friendly, and getting started is straightforward.

What’s particularly important to me is the clear distinction between investing and just playing around. For me, Scalable Capital isn’t a place for constant back-and-forth trading, but rather a platform for planned investing, regular savings plans, and simple portfolio management.

Curve MasterCard as a payment card

The Curve MasterCard combines multiple cards and payment sources into a single solution. Instead of constantly switching between different cards in my daily life, I use Curve as a convenient hub to organize payments more flexibly and keep track of everything.

Especially if you use many different accounts, cards, and financial products at the same time, a solution like this can significantly simplify your payment transactions. On top of that, it’s a sleek metal card with attractive cashback and offers a clear, user-friendly app.

Crypto.com Visa for More Cashback

Payments made through Curve often go directly to the Crypt.com Visa card. This is appealing to me because it makes the transition between the crypto world and everyday payments much more tangible.

The cashback is particularly attractive: with my Pro-Stake, I receive 3% of every transaction in CRO, which I can accumulate and then potentially sell at higher prices if the market rises, thereby saving even more on my everyday expenses. Plus: Those who steadily grow their CRO holdings receive additional bonuses that accelerate growth even further.

BBVA as an alternative to a money market account

For my short-term cash reserves, I have an account with BBVA, which I use exclusively as a substitute for a money market fund—or rather, as a place to hold liquidity that I don’t want to invest right away. Not all of my money should sit in a checking account indefinitely, but neither should every reserve be put directly at risk. In my view, solutions like this make sense precisely because they strike that balance.

The reason I chose BBVA is simply the interest rate: When I opened the account, I received a solid 3.5% p.a. for the first year, and on top of that, there’s an additional 3% cashback on the first 250 euros in monthly transactions. When this offer expires, I’ll likely move on to the next good deal.

Monefit: Bridging the Gap

With Monefit, I bridge the gap between idle cash and traditional investments. Not all of my money should go straight into stocks, ETFs, or crypto. I need to keep some of my capital flexible, but ideally, I don’t want it to sit completely unused.

This is exactly where I see P2P lending as a useful addition. The 7.5% annual interest rate, which I even receive as daily pro-rata payments, provides additional cash flow in my monthly balance sheet.

Bondora as the market leader

In addition to Monefit, I use Bondora—the industry leader in the P2P sector—to ensure a bit of diversification in my P2P portfolio. While the interest rates here aren’t quite as high as Monefit’s at 6.5%, no other provider has been in the market as long as Bondora. That builds even more trust!

Strike.me for Bitcoin

I manage my Bitcoin savings plans exclusively through Strike.me. The app isn’t just incredibly user-friendly and straightforward; the fees are also extremely low. Once you’ve made a few trades, your regular savings plans are completely free, and the spreads remain affordable. I even use it to buy Bitcoin daily to offset the sometimes high volatility.

Once enough Satoshis have accumulated in my account, I transfer them directly to my Bitbox02 hardware wallet—also completely free of charge. Additionally, Strike.me is excellent for “orange pill” transactions, as you can easily send payments to each other just like with PayPal.

Bitcoin-Broker

★★★★☆

Strike.me

Perfect for users who simply want to buy, send, and use Bitcoin in their daily lives without having to deal with a clunky crypto app. You won’t find better terms anywhere!

  • Minimalist app
  • Low fees
  • Focus on Bitcoin

MoneyMoney as a banking app

For me, MoneyMoney is one of the best programs for centrally managing various accounts on my desktop and, above all, for keeping track of my cash flows. While many banking apps only work reliably on mobile devices, I still prefer a robust desktop solution for true visibility and control.

I use the software to consolidate bank transactions, accounts, and payment flows in one place. This saves an enormous amount of time, especially if you don’t just have a single checking account but use multiple banks and financial products simultaneously.

Portfolio Performance for Analysis

For me, Portfolio Performance is the tool that allows me not only to see how my total assets are performing, but also to truly understand it. A broker usually only shows me a single account. But I want a comprehensive view of various positions, cost bases, dividends, returns, and trends over longer periods of time.

That’s exactly what Portfolio Performance is ideal for. I can analyze my entire portfolio clearly and am not dependent on how a single app presents its figures. Anyone who wants to dive deeper into their performance and wants more than just a pretty broker interface will find this tool indispensable.

Blockpit for Taxes

As soon as you start making more than just one or two crypto transactions, keeping track of everything quickly becomes a hassle. That’s exactly when Blockpit became essential for me. I use the tool to systematically record my crypto activities and generate a clear overview for tax purposes.

For me, the big advantage lies not only in the reporting, but above all in the relief it provides. Instead of manually compiling transactions from various wallets, exchanges, and CSV files, I prefer a system that brings order to this data. Especially for anyone who has been active in the crypto space for a while, a tool like this is almost a must-have.

Divvy Diary for Dividends

Divvy Diary is useful for me when I’m focusing on distributions and dividends. While many portfolio apps tend to focus on price movements, when it comes to dividend stocks and ETFs, I’m also interested in when payments are due and how my passive cash flow is developing.

I particularly like its clear focus. Instead of searching for individual distributions in a general portfolio view, Divvy Diary gives me a specialized tool for exactly this purpose. This helps when you want to better plan, compare, and track returns over the long term.

Portfolio-Tool

8.5

★★★★★

Portfolio Performance

  • Detailed analyses
  • Powerful all-in-one solution

  • Automatic Data Entry
  • Quick Tax Reports
  • Extensive Support

Dividend Calendar

7.5

★★★★☆

Divvy Diary

Great for users who want to clearly plan their dividends, distributions, and future cash flows.

  • Focus on Dividends
  • Personal Dividend Calendar
  • Passive Income at a Glance

Why I use multiple tools at the same time

At this point, many people wonder whether having so many providers makes things more complicated rather than practical. The honest answer: it depends on how clearly you separate responsibilities. This model works well for me because not every tool has to do everything.

My bank isn’t automatically my best analysis tool. My broker isn’t automatically my budget tracker. And my crypto app isn’t automatically my tax solution. Once you clearly assign these roles, you don’t end up with chaos, but rather a significantly more efficient overall system.

Ultimately, for me, it’s not about having as many apps as possible. It’s about making better decisions with the right tools. That’s exactly why I’ve built up my personal financial setup over the years.
